34th PDS Preconvention Course
“Trends, Tools and Techniques in Dermatology”
COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Preconvention course has been divided into focus topics namely: Hair, Rejuvenation of the face and neck, Scars and Body contouring. Trends based on recent advancements will be highlighted.

Video coverage of the procedures done on actual patients will be shown during their presentations. This will be followed by an interactive case presentation to get the views of all the invited lecturers and learn the newest developments applicable to the case.

The hardworking Organizing Committee, headed by Dr. Teresita Gabriel, has provided an avenue for continuing medical education on the current developments and management options in dermatology as exemplified by the preconvention and main convention themes entitled “Trends, Tools and Techniques in Dermatology” and “Discovering New Realms in Dermatology”, respectively. The scientific committee takes pride in having invited excellent lecturers, both local and international, to serve as the faculty of speakers.

I strongly encourage all our colleagues not to miss the opportunity to be a participant in this year’s convention. Dermatology is one field of specialization where discoveries and developments do not seem to dissipate. Knowledge keeps on growing, hence, our interest is never satiated. It is for this reason that our yearly conventions are always seeded with worthy topics to disclose, discuss and deliberate.

For the 34th Annual Convention of the Philippine Dermatological Society, we aptly chose as its main theme “Discovering New Realms in Dermatology”. The experts will expound on the various subspecialties of dermatology. Likewise, innovative options for the practicing dermatologists will be cascaded. These panel of lecturers will definitely broaden our learning experience, extend further our understanding and expose our inquisitive minds to new doors in the field of dermatology.

In these sessions, we will hear from the connoisseurs who will tackle diverse approaches on the topics for discussion. • ONLY check payments will be accepted for pre-registration. One participant, one check please.

• Please use separate checks for paying the main and pre-convention.
• Cash basis only for on site registration.

• Please make checks payable to PHILIPPINE DERMATOLOGICAL SOCIETY.
• On-site registration is subject to slot availability.
• Refund will be issued if cancellation of registration is made on or before
  • October 15, 2010. No refund will be issued thereafter.

• FOR MAIN CONVENTION:
- MEMBERS must be:

updated and fully paid of all annual dues; and
in good standing with the PDS

to avail of the member’s registration rate. A certification to this effect
may be required, if necessary.
- NON-MEMBERS: Must present their valid PRC ID for identification.
- LIFE-MEMBERS/ADVISORY COUNCIL may avail of the free registration for the MAIN
