Banawe Outreach 2008

A few members of the PDS opted to spend Valentines week in the beautiful mountains of Banawe. The Dermatologic Surgical Mission, now on its 6 th year, was organized and headed by PDS honorary member Dr. Ida Tiongco and Mr. Alex Sarmiento, her husband. PDS once again joined the team for the 4 th time at the Good News Clinic of Dr. Tony Ligot, where 600+ Patients were seen in 3 days from February 12-14. At least 150 minor surgeries were performed in two days, thanks to the steady supply of instruments all the way from New York City. The cool weather, the fantastic view, the hospitality of the Ligots and the people needing our services will surely entice more PDS members to join us next year.
