The Skin Safety Campaign Symbol is an integral part of the advocacy movement of the Philippine Dermatological Society to promote public safety on skin health through information dissemination and consultation with competent and certified Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS) dermatologists.

The Symbol of PDS is a simple and elegant design with two colors- the blue color of the society and a gold color indicating the gold standard measure of quality and excellence that the society adheres to. Included is the date of incorporation of the society in 1952 to emphasize the longevity of PDS.

Significance of the Symbol

The symbol is intended to be displayed on the clinic door or prominently positioned inside the clinic of the dermatologist to signify that one is a member of the PDS, the only specialty society for dermatology recognized by the Philippine Medical Association. For the patients, this will ensure easy and fast identification of the legitimate dermatologists who are part of the Skin Safety Campaign.

General Guidelines

1. The Symbol has will be given to all practicing members in good standing of the PDS.
   
2. The Symbol is to be displayed ONLY at the member's private place of practice; display in other areas will constitute a violation and the Symbol may be withdrawn.
   
3. The Symbol may not be displayed in commercial establishments where the member is employed. This is to avoid exploitation of the Symbol for profit.
   
4. The Symbol maybe reproduced only for inclusion in the member's prescription pad or calling card.
   
5. PDS has shouldered the cost of one Symbol per member. Additional orders maybe coursed through the PDS Secretariat with a letter of request indicating the reason for the request and location of intended display. Upon approval of the Board, the additional Symbols maybe purchased.
