  2. The Mid-Face Sagging Challenge: Skinny vs Chubby lecture by Dr. Puyat recognized and discussed the ageing in the mid face area which included an interplay of complex and dynamic factors and a loss of subcutaneous fat and weakening of the skeletal muscles.
  3. V-Defined: Chin, Jawline and Jowl Enhancement discussion by Dr. Datuin-De Leon assessed the lower face ageing and identify various combination technique protocols such as neuromodulators, soft tissue fillers, microfocused ultrasound and threads to address specific concerns.
  4. Transgressing Time: Going Against the Adage “Your Neck Shows Your True Age” by Dr. Tlaker assessed ageing concerns in the Neck area and discuss the latest combination treatment options for the neck.
  5. Quadruple Therapy: Redensifying the Ageing Face discussion by Dr. Ong-Amoranto discussed cutaneous aging as a multi-factorial process resulting from both intrinsic and extrinsic factors and its physiology. The lecture focused on the combination technique involving the use NdYag and ErYag for neocollagenesis and superficial resurfacing followed by Micro-injections of hyaluronic acid and neurotoxin thereby result to expansion of the extracellular matrix, neocollagenesis, and redensification.
  6. Pearls in Facial Reshaping: Multiple Modalities in Achieving Optimal Results by Dr. Francisco-Diaz evaluated multiple face shapes and asymmetries and the lecture focused on the use of combination nonsurgical treatments such as toxin, fillers, lasers and threads to achieve optimal results.
  7. The Nuances of Preserving the Masculine Face by Dr. Yu evaluated an aging male face and taught different multimodality combination techniques for gender specific rejuvenation. He emphasized that it is best to employ a holistic approach which involves using topical medications, energy-based devices, neuromodulators, and dermal fillers to achieve a refreshed male look.
  8. Facial Rejuvenation and Reshaping: Treatment Options with Single or Combination Modalities Using Surgical vs Non-Surgical Techniques by Dr. Arzadon discussed rejuvenation procedures that may help reverse the effect of aging though surgical facelift remains the gold standard and rejuvenation procedure.
  9. Smooth Operator: Managing Textural Abnormalities of the Body by Dr. Berenguer-Angeles discussed common textural abnormalities complaints in both men and women such as striae, cellulites, and skin laxity, the difficulties in treating them and warranted combination treatments with topical medication, minimally invasive and invasive procedures.
  10. Rock Your Body: Enhancing One’s Natural Curves by Dr. Lapitan-Torres discussed the increase in the demand for non-invasive body contouring such as low-level laser therapy (LLLT), cryolipolysis, radio frequency (RF), and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and the recent introduction of a device utilizing high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) field with frequencies inducing tonic muscle contractions.
  11. Fifty Shades Lighter: Combination Treatment for Body Lightening by Dr. Dizon identified different pigmentation concerns of the body and current desire for “whiteness” in the Asian culture, the multiple modalities in approaching these and that choice of treatment should be based on rational goals.
  12. A Cutting-Edge Approach to Hair Loss by Dr. Talathi discussed a new treatment modality on how to treat hair loss.
  13. The Secret to Flawless Skin: A Combined Therapeutic Approach for Acne Vulgaris by Dr. Suratos reviewed researches combining the established topical and oral medications with laser, light and energy devices that have been used in the treatment of Acne vulgaris.
  14. Acne Scar Wars by Dr. Dim-Jamora gave pointers on how to best prevent and manage acne scars in using tools that are easily accessible and in most cases, inexpensive.
  15. Melasma Defense: Combination Treatment for Pigment Resolution by Dr. Dayrit gave an update on the current researches on the pathogenesis of Melasma and evidence-based treatment modalities that are applicable to the Filipino skin type which includes newly discovered botanicals, Wnt signalling inhibitors and lasers, as well as, combination treatments.
  16. Cosmetic Gynecology: Addressing Women’s Intimate Wellness by Dr. Robredo-Vitas discussed current trends on aesthetic gynecology including non-surgical and minimally invasive techniques to address concerns such as vaginal laxity, vulvar tightening, inguinal and labial lightening, and the use of platelet-rich plasma and hyaluronic acid in rejuvenation.
  17. The Nose Knows: Different Methods of Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty by Dr. Quiambao emphasized that a significant component of human appearance and major aspect of one’s profile depends on the shape of the nose which can be distorted by a variety of factors. Surgical rhinoplasty remains to be the gold standard, however, not everyone is ready for the commitment. Hence, minimally-invasive alternatives which includes use of soft-tissue filler, polydioxanone threads and neuromodulators were discussed.
  18. Don’t Wanna Wait in Vein: Combination Treatments for Leg Varicosities by Dr. Chua emphasized that venous disease is a major health concern and many would seek consult. Thus, he discussed different modalities such as Thermal ablation (endovenous treatment, with radiofrequency ablation and laser) and non-thermal ablation (ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, mechanicochemical ablation and endovenous glue.
  19. Nailed it! Polishing Our Treatment Options for Common Nail Diseases by Dr. Ramirez-Quizon discussed the challenges of nail treatment, which takes several months before results are visible, and emphasized that patient counselling is important to improve compliance.
