The Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center-Department of Dermatology, in partnership with the Philippine Dermatological Society: Phototherapy Core Group held its timely Continuing Medical Education entitled “Tranquility: Safe, Sound and Blissful Practice in Dermatology” last March 20, 2018, at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club.

This CME course focused on the realm of research and pedagogy. The main objective of the CME activity was to equip the PDS residents, as well as the consultants, with a better understanding of the complex process of doing research.

The St. Luke’s Medical Center Department of Dermatology hosted its Continuing Medical Education entitled In the Pink of Health – Conquering Challenges in Mucosal Disease last October 25, 2017 at the Henry Sy Auditorium, St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City.

The University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center Inc. (UERMMMCI) Section of Dermatology, in cooperation with the Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Subspecialty Core Group of the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS), hosted the Continuing Medical Education (CME) entitled “Pedagogia Dermatologia” last September 27, 2017 at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club.

The University of Santo Tomas Hospital (USTH) Department of Dermatology together with the Philippine Dermatological Society’s (PDS) Contact Dermatitis and Environmental Dermatology Subspecialty Core Group hosted the monthly Continuing Medical Education (CME) entitled: "PSYCHODERMATOLOGY: The Skin - Mind Connection" last August 30, 2017.

The Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC) Department of Dermatology, in cooperation with the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS) Pediatric Subspecialty Core Group, hosted the monthly Continuing Medical Education (CME) entitled “CHILD’S PLAY: Do’s and What-Nots in Pediatric Dermatoethics” last July 26, 2017 at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.

The Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center Department of Dermatology held its Continuing Medical Education entitled, “Leadership #Perfection” in cooperation with the Philippine Dermatological Society Leprosy Subspecialty core group last June 28, 2017 at the Henry Sy Sr. Auditorium, St. Luke’s Global, Taguig.

In the afternoon of May 24, 2017, the Makati Medical Center Department of Dermatology hosted its Continuing Medical Education Course at their home base with the event entitled, Immunodermatology and Legal Medicine : Coup d’etat of the Skin and How to Avoid Lawsuits in Dermatologic Practice.

The brainchild of our president, Dr. Maria Angela Lavadia, the PDS Life Enhancement Action Program (LEAP), kicked off this April 21st with the Southern Luzon Chapter (SLC) spearheading the activity at Seda Hotel in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa. It was clearly the most attended activity by the SLC with 83 attendees from the various provinces of the region.

The East Avenue Medical Center Department of Dermatology, in cooperation with the Philippine Dermatological Society Laser Subspecialty Core group hosted the April’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) entitled, “Stay Connected: Transcending Boundaries in Health Systems” last April 26, 2017 at the Nathan Hall of GSK Headquarters, Makati City. In line with the 25th Anniversary of the department, the theme was blue and silver.

The Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) Department of Dermatology, together with the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS) Photodermatology Subspecialty Core Group, hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) lecture entitled “Dermatologic Crisis: Illuminating the Path” last March 22, 2017.
