WE.. WERE.. READY..

The salvo of the Christmas season and the New Year festivities, made me forget to make my president’s message for 2020. However, upon looking back, I am glad I did.

To my dear colleagues,

It is an unbelievable honour to be the President of the Philippine Dermatological Society. Often times I always ask why I find myself in these situations.

We are all on a journey towards Skin Health for All. As Dermatologists, we have an inherent desire to know more, to do more, and to achieve more, to respond to the skin health needs of the people we serve, our countrymen, the Filipinos.

It is not uncommon to encounter rocky roads and unpaved paths in life. The PDS has faced such situations at various times in its 65 year journey. These have served as eye openers and even turning points which have directed our collective life in more ways than one.

This 2018, the open road beckons the PDS. It is filled with endless possibilities and exciting options which we all face as The Dermauthority.
An OPEN MIND empowers us with creativity and fresh vision to view perplexing challenges and obstacles in a new light.

As we think about the Philippine Dermatological Society’s 65 years, we see the many ties that hold us close to each other.From its inception and through its formative years, the PDS, its leadership, and its members, have hurdled many challenges together.

In the fullness of time, a young sprout emerges from the seed, cautiously at first, then grows to maturity, blossoms and bears fruit. The PDS is that plant, now laden with many beautiful colorful flowers.

This year, 2017, the PDS turns 65!

Ripe with wisdom and experience, and with boundless energy and enthusiasm to dream dreams and to go and get them done — That’s us today!
