General Objective
To strengthen the practice of laser surgery among PDS members in the Philippines
Specific Objectives:
- To document the current status of dermatologic laser surgery in the Philippines
- To assist the training institutions and regional chapters in developing short-term and
long-term plans, programs, or modules on laser training, specific to the needs of the centers. - To encourage residents/consultants to conduct research and encourage publications
relevant to their practice of laser surgery. - To propagate awareness of the availability of lasers in the Philippines, locally
and internationally, for public education/accessibility and medical tourism. - To provide laser practitioners and interested dermatologists with a regular venue for continued learning, to be able to keep abreast with the latest developments in the international arena
- To promote the ethical practice of Laser Surgery, in accordance with the general and specific guidelines of the Philippine Dermatological Society
- To foster camaraderie among the members of the Laser Subspecialty Group
