Objectives
- To train PDS residents and members on sexually transmitted infections (STI) and HIV/AIDS
- To educate the PDS members and the Filipino community on STI and HIV/AIDS, through CME activities and lay fora
- To recruit more PDS members to join the STI core group, once they have been formally trained
Updates and Upcoming Activities
- CME Schedule in collaboration with STI Core Group (April 28, 2021)
- Inter-institution contest style CME event in collaboration with the CME Committee and in partnership with Johnson & Johnson
- Point person: Consultant of PDS Host Institution & Dr. Chittina Santiago (CME Chair)
- CTraining on HIV Counseling and Testing – TBA
- Point Person: Dr. Portia A. Ortiz
- Lay fora on STI and HIV/AIDS (aligned with DepED K-12 curriculum) – TBA
- Grade 6 & 8 students will have an online Zoom lecture on HIV awareness, in coordination with the UERM Alumni Association with Pasig public schools as the main target of this program

To all Philippine Dermatological Society members who have undergone training in STI/Venereology locally and abroad who wish to join the PDS STI Subspecialty Core Group, kindly send your letter of intent, PDS (Diplomate/Fellow) certificate and proof of training to Dr. Gilbert C.
